Yellow Dog Design prints its own patterns onto collar webbing at a 15,000 square foot plant in Greensboro, North Carolina, and has done since 2001. The about page gives the street address, which is more than most brands manage.

Two things keep this at the second mark rather than the first. The operation is dye sublimation printing and sewing — the ribbon and webbing arrive from somewhere else, and nothing on the site says where. And the site itself is out of date: 2 Hounds Design bought the company in August 2023 and the page has not acknowledged it.

The acquisition is not bad news for the mark. 2 Hounds is also a North Carolina manufacturer and said at the time that it planned to consolidate operations inside the state. But “consolidate” means equipment moves, and the next check on this record should confirm the collars are still being made in Greensboro rather than assuming the address on a four-year-old page still holds.
