Worksman’s domestic bicycles are built in Conway, South Carolina. The local economic development council lists its manufacturing operation there, and the Classic Cruiser page qualifies its American origin with domestic and imported parts. That earns the assembled-in-USA mark.
This is not a split line, and it was checked against the rule settled in #171. Everything Worksman says about imports is about parts, and it says it at length on its Buy American page: “the exodus of the bicycle manufacturing industry in the USA means that we too have to source many of our parts from overseas… there are simply no US suppliers for many bicycle related components, including tires, tubes, spokes, saddles and other key parts”, while “machining operations, welding, powder coating, wheel building and final assembly” stay in-house. Imported components in a domestically built bicycle are the difference between the first and second marks, which is where this record already sits. The same page says the Conway plant assembles “all Worksman Cycles”, so the company asserts there is no imported finished-goods half, and the folding, electric and accessory pages carry nothing beyond the same footer qualifier. An earlier version of this record said Worksman’s older catalogues identify imported models; no such model could be found on the site on 2026-09-20, so the sentence is removed rather than left unsourced.
One discrepancy for the next verification. The Classic Cruiser’s own specifications block reads “Factory Location: Ozone Park, NY USA”, which is the old New York address, while the Buy American page puts assembly at Conway, South Carolina since 2016-17. The spec block looks like un-updated copy, but it is what the buyer sees on the product page.
