Salisbury has made pewter and sterling giftware on Maryland’s Eastern Shore since 1979, and today works from a factory in Easton. Much of the line reproduces early American silversmiths’ forms: Paul Revere’s Liberty Bowl, Thomas Jefferson’s cups, and the julep cups of Kentucky, Mississippi and the Carolinas. The company has made commemorative pieces for presidents since the Reagan administration. The Alliance for American Manufacturing counted more than 50 artisans at the Easton plant in 2025. The company says they spin pewter on lathes and cast the smaller pieces in molds made in-house.
This is a split catalogue, and Salisbury says so itself. Its Talbot Manor pewter is made in Thailand, its hand-blown glass vases in the Czech Republic and its hand-forged copper trays in Mexico. A further set of pieces, from ice buckets to frames, is labelled only “Imported exclusively for Salisbury”. All of it is sold in the same shop under the same name, which is why the brand-level mark is the floor.
The Easton pieces are recorded individually below. Their product pages say “Made in the USA”, and the spinning, casting, soldering and polishing do happen in Maryland. They sit at the second mark, not the first, because of the metal. Pewter is 93 percent tin, and the U.S. Geological Survey reports that tin has not been mined or smelted in the United States since 1993. The label to look for on the product page is “Made in the USA”. “Imported”, “Made in the Czech Republic” or “Made in Mexico” means the piece was not made in Easton.
