Runabout Goods is a Los Angeles menswear label started in 2016 by Mike Hodis, the designer previously behind Rising Sun jeans. It makes chinos, work pants, jackets, anoraks and knit tops. The site says everything is designed and made in Los Angeles, starting in an Eagle Rock workshop fitted with vintage sewing machines, and says the shop is now moving from a temporary Pasadena workshop to Monrovia.
Press coverage confirms the brand, its founder and its Eagle Rock start, but none of the articles found says where the garments are sewn. Until another source does, the record rests on the brand’s own claim. Fabric origin also varies. One jacket uses denim woven in Greensboro, North Carolina, while at least one chino has used Japanese twill.
