Pigeon Tree is a one-person leather shop run by Isaac Paul. The site says he hand-makes belts, wallets, cuffs, watch straps and small leather goods to order in Savannah, Georgia, and trade press confirms the same one-person, hand-made arrangement — but not the town. Heddels said Denver in 2020 and said Denver again in November 2025, covering a belt that is still on sale.

It is a split line. The Pigeon Tree x Santalum collaboration boots are handmade in Indonesia and sold under the Pigeon Tree name, so the brand’s mark here is the floor. The belts, wallets, cuffs and watch straps Isaac Paul makes himself are carried below with their own marks and their own quoted listings.

Those sit at the second mark rather than the first because most of the material is imported even when the work is not. Many belts use English, Swedish, Italian or Japanese leather, and every buckle option is made in Japan — the American Hermann Oak belts included.

The Savannah address is still supported only by the brand itself, and that gap has stopped being a stale-source problem. The most recent independent write-up of a Pigeon Tree belt, ten months old, ends “Handmade to measure in Denver by one person.” Nothing outside pigeontree.com places the workshop in Georgia. The town in this record is the brand’s word alone; the one-person, made-here part of the claim is not in doubt.

This record keeps Savannah anyway, and that is a decision rather than an oversight. A maker knows which town he works in, and a write-up of a new belt is the kind of piece that carries a line about the shop forward from an older article without rechecking it — a 2020 sentence turning up again in 2025 is what that looks like. What the marks here rest on is the half of that sentence both sources agree on and the site repeats per item: made in the United States, to order, by one person. Only the town is uncorroborated, and it is written down as uncorroborated instead of being presented as checked.

pigeontree.com was registered on .It dates the domain, not the business: a maker that moved to a new address reads young here, and an old domain says nothing about who holds it now.
