Nicks has made boots by hand in Spokane since 1964, and the company’s own history page traces the line back further than that — its founder learned the trade at White’s, four miles away, before setting up on his own because he wanted to build a boot “from start to finish” rather than one station of it.

That phrase is still the claim. Nicks says its boots are hand-made from beginning to end in Spokane Valley from US-sourced materials, and the independent record backs the manufacturing: a bootmaker that outgrew a 6,000 square foot shop and bought a 20,000 square foot building to keep production in town. The address on the contact page is that factory.

One thing this record does not settle is component sourcing below the leather. Nicks names American hides; it does not publish where outsoles and hardware come from, and on a boot at this price the answer is worth having. The top mark reflects an unqualified domestic claim with a named factory behind it, and the outsole question is flagged for the next check rather than assumed either way.
