MAKR is a design studio founded by Jason Gregory in 2007 that makes wallets, bags, device cases and small furniture. It moved from Winter Park to St. Augustine, Florida in 2024, and says all of its products are made in the United States, most of them within 100 miles of the studio. A 2024 announcement names the St. Augustine studio and a St. Petersburg factory, and a 2017 interview with Gregory describes production runs handled by fabricators around Florida.
The Florida manufacturing is supported by two sources outside the brand’s own site, one of them a PR release. What the record cannot settle is where most of the materials come from. The leather is named as Horween, which tans in Chicago, but the canvas, nylon and hardware are not traced, so the record sits at the second mark.
