Legend Fitness is the trade name of Component Fabricators, Inc., which filed for Chapter 11 in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee on 27 March 2026. Its own case management summary says the company halted operations on 2 February, that thirty-two of its thirty-four people were furloughed, and that the plan is to sell the assets to a buyer who has agreed to finish the orders already in the building. Revenue fell from $5.68m in 2024 to $3.11m in 2025 to $231,000 for January 2026. The court approved a sale of the personal property free and clear of liens on 8 May 2026. The case is still open — monthly operating reports run to 16 September 2026 — so this is a stop, not a completed liquidation, and no restart of the Knoxville line under any owner has been traced. Legend Fitness manufactured commercial-grade strength and fitness equipment in Knoxville, Tennessee from 1977, and its gear is specified into pro, collegiate and government weight rooms across the country.

The about page states plainly that “all Legend Fitness strength and fitness equipment is built at our facility in Knoxville, Tennessee”, names the plant, and points to the company’s membership in the state’s Made in Tennessee program. That unqualified, facility-named claim earns the first mark. The catalogue is heavy commercial equipment sold largely business-to-business rather than an imported-accessory line, so the usual “which SKUs” caveat is smaller here, but it is still flagged for the next check.

The plant itself is now corroborated from outside the brand, and the same source settles the record.
