Bradley Mountain makes waxed canvas and leather bags, jackets and small goods. Tyler Axtell started it in a garage in Ocean Beach, California in 2012, and it now runs a workshop, shop and coffee bar in Columbia, Tennessee. In a 2023 Heddels interview the founder describes the move and names Fairfield Textile, an American company, as its waxed canvas supplier. The bag listings specify USA harness leather.
It is a split line, and a wide one. The shop’s own about page says “All of our products are made in the US”, but the knives and tools shelved beside the bags are not: the Japanese wood carving set’s page says it is made in Japan, the MT5 says Spain, and the rest of that shelf names France, Finland, Italy and El Salvador. Every one of them carries the vendor “Bradley Mountain” in the shop’s own feed, with no other maker named, so they are Bradley Mountain goods rather than somebody else’s stock. That is why the brand’s mark here is the floor.
The bags are the other side of it, and they are the strongest part of the record: waxed canvas from Fairfield Textile, an American mill, and USA harness leather, cut and sewn in the Columbia workshop. They are carried below with their own marks and their own quoted listings. The apparel is more mixed again — one leather jacket is Italian leather, the Cabin jackets have Japanese flannel linings, and the bandanas are Japanese cotton sewn by another Nashville workshop.
